[Adonthell-general] Release announcement

Yeah, it's soon release time, so we should think a bit about the
announcement. Let's plan a bit before we do things quickly and badly.

Where:
The first place will of course be linuxgames.com, our nice host. A mail
to Al should do the trick, he'll probably be happy to hear from us as
most project hosted on linuxgames.com seems to be dead :)
Then, happypenguin.org where we already have an entry. It would also be
time to be added to SDL's game's section, and to the list of softwares
using Python and SWIG. I think our use of Python/SWIG is quite
interesting and shows a nice result, so it might be helpfull for other
peoples. We'll also have to update our freshmeat entry, and I think it's
all. Then wait someone puts a link to us on Slashdot ;)

What:
With this release, we're targetting potential developpers instead of
end-users. So the message should be clearly targetted at them. We should
insist on the following points: it's playable (but rather an adventure
game than a RPG), we're switching to an higher resolution, we have
artists (important!) but are always looking for more, we need developers
that have at least an experience with C++/Python, the STLs, and CVS. Not
that they are all mandatory, but being at least a little experienced
with programming is, or this person will leave soon. What we want to
avoid is to have people that will want to help us but hardly know about
pointers, for example. They will left without giving news, and the part
they were working on will remain orphan. It happened countless times
already. Of course, we have to try to make the message sound different
that l33t. So *ahem*, as Kai is the father of the project (and spiritual
father of all of us here ;)) and have a nice English, he seems to be the
best person to write the announcement.

Maybe you could send a first draft here, as everyone will undoubtly want
to make something appear into it! ;)

Alex.
