Public, definitely. As you said, this is just a demo (even though the
maps will make it into 1.0), and demos are made so people can freely
play them, anytime.

Right. OTOH, we talked about including a GUI theme into the source
package, so editors for example can work without any game installed. So
maybe we could add a "data" subdirectory into our source module that
would contain such generic data files.

Definitely. Directory handling in CVS really is a pain, and we have to
think twice before adding one.

For now, Joel, can you work with a separate data package until your
directory structure is stable? I don't think this would hurt much, and
we won't make any mistake regarding the CVS. Also try to be there at the
IRC meeting! ;)
