As it seems, there are still people out there who like v0.3! :)

DOS? If by DOS you mean real DOS, then the answer will have to be never.
Sorry, but the graphic library we^re using (SDL) doesn^t support DOS. So
a port would be quite difficult. However, if by DOS you mean actually
Windows, then it is already ported. See

Hard to say. Obviously all features we think a RPG should have, plus
some eyecandy that wouldn't be strictly neccessary. All that might take
some years yet. But look at games like Nethack, which are around for
decades and still maintained. So it wouldn't be that odd if Adonthell
would take another 5-6 years before hitting v1.0. For a little more info
see the FAQ:

At first it was simple, as some of us had just started studying and
others where still at school. Now wee got a lot less time however,
although there´s still the weekend or some quiet evenings to do some
stuff. Besides, the programming is done fairly quickly. What eats a lot
of time is the art and writing, so often we´ll have to wait for that,
while the code is already finished. So if you know anybody good at that
stuff, ask them to get involved :).

Thanks a lot. We hope to even do a bit better next time ;)

Even we don't know. Not this year. Maybe next. But it really depends how
much time each of us will have, how much additional help we get, and so
on. To keep up with the progress, you could check the dev diary every
now and then. Even if it might get a bit technical now and then, it
should give you an expression of where we are yet:

Thanks for your inquiries. Mails as yours are about the only reward we
get, so they are always welcome :).
