Hello Folks,
Apologies if this has been discussed already, but I couldn't find anything in
the archives.
I am using the version of Aspell distributed with SuSE 9.2. The version is
indicated as:
International Ispell Version 3.1.20 (but really Aspell 0.50.5)
I have also written a small front-end for Aspell in tcl/tk, called Extspell.
This is very primitive (reflecting the leve of my scripting skills) and is
something of a stop-gap measure until spelling checking is integrated into
OmegaT (I won't bore you here with the details - more on request).
Extspell is available at:
www.omegat.org/omegat/omegatk/omegatk.html/extspell-1.1.1.zip
Now, according to the Aspell screen help, the command
-l|list
produces a list of misspelled words from standard input. This is, however, not
correct. On my version, -l works, -lilst does not. Conversely, another
Extspell user who is using Aspell 0.60.0 reports that -list works, but -l
does not (being the short form for --lang).
This leaves me with a problem: handling both variants in Extspell. Can anyone
confirm what versions of Aspell use what variants?
TIA,
Marc Prior/lin4trans
