[Aspell-user] Combining dictionary use: OOo, KDE, Mozilla

On Ubuntu 7.04 with KDE, it seems that the many different applications
that feature spellchecking all use their own dictionaries. How can I
configure Open Office, KDE, Thunderbird, and Firefox to all use the
same dictionaries?

Ideally, I would have four dictionaries: British English, American
English, Hebrew, and user-added. I see that the user-added words from
KDE are in ~/.aspell.en.pws and from OpenOffice to
~/.openoffice.org2/wordbook/standard.dic. I think that I have other
dictionaries in /usr /share/aspell, however all the files seem a bit
small to be dictionaries:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 8 2006-06-19 19:20 aspell.compat
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5312 2006-11-08 09:47 en_CA-w_accents-only.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5195 2006-11-08 09:47 en_CA-wo_accents-only.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 165962 2006-11-08 09:47 en-common.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 237 2006-11-08 09:47 en.contents
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5311 2006-11-08 09:47 en_GB-ise-w_accents-only.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5196 2006-11-08 09:47 en_GB-ise-wo_accents-only.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5325 2006-11-08 09:47 en_GB-ize-w_accents-only.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5207 2006-11-08 09:47 en_GB-ize-wo_accents-only.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5170 2006-11-08 09:47 en_US-w_accents-only.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5054 2006-11-08 09:47 en_US-wo_accents-only.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1088 2006-11-08 09:47 en-variant_0.cwl.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6765 2006-11-08 09:47 en-variant_1.cwl.gz

So, how can I configure aspell to have only British English, American
English, and Hebrew dictionaries system wide, then configure Tbird,
Firefox, KDE, and Open Office to use those 3 dictionaries and one
other user-defined dictionary in ~/ directory?

Thanks in advance.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
