Ralf, I guess Aarno knows what he is doing. He quotes properly and thus
the expansion is correct shell command.

Perhaps Aarno doesn't think that "test" is readable.
Until a men is exposed to lot of Autoconf macros, he perceives [ .. ] as
much more readable than "test". ;-)
