What are you saying?  You have a line like:
"<tab><tab>hi"
and when you press enter at the end, it doesn't start the next line with two tabs? It should. It does here for me.

If that is the problem and you can reproduce it, show me how.

It does not exactly occur with this setup (enter at the end).
It does when you place the cursor in a position apart from the end.
Is this behavior intended? If so, I'd like to make a proposal for
explicit (that is, user) indent removal.

I think that's a bug. I'll get it the next time I'm snooping around the source.
