Summary: Incremental backup not working

Initial Comment:
Project p1: made an incremental backup, then added a word and 30 minutes later 
made another incremental backup (of the same project) and get the message 
(something like): There was nothing to back-up.
Tried it several times, same message.

As now each time starting BE 3.1.11 it froze (right from the beginning
without doing anything), I installed BE 3.1.22 and this does not freeze any
more.
Anyhow, the incremental backup still does not find anything to backup

As I did not know, how to kill the prozess, I logged out and in and then I
could close BE.

In addition to it, BE freezes. 
This did not happen the last days, when I was checking all kind of
comparing prozesses.
Checking in the Prozess Table (I do not understand, how this tool works,)
the BE icon showed up 5 times. The second time it froze, it was only once.
