Summary: less obvious git tasks display

Initial Comment:
As soon as a git task is pending, it shows this in the display. There seems to 
be no need for this for the user, it rather is confusing if these tasks appear 
and go away. There are some options to make this less obvious.
1. To not show these at all.
2. To only show them if they have been pending for a while.
