Hi,
I tried to revive a closed Bug, and could not change the status.
Thanks for fixing Undo in the Bible text portion.
It really should work in footnote text as well.
And would it be possible to add it someday in Project Note text?

The behavior you're seeing is correct and behaving as documented in the
manual, and also as mandated by the POSIX standard for make (and by decades of
historical implementation).
An explicit rule with two or more targets is identical in meaning to writing
that same rule multiple times, once for each target. It does _NOT_ mean that
one invocation of that rule builds all the targets.
