Follow-up Comment #18, task #9999 (project bibledit):

I checked out an article on the Web about collaboration with Abiword. It
would be nice because of the formatting possibilities. But it is restricted in
who gets to save the file when. And it would only work if everyone
collaborating had good Internet connections.

One of the advantages we have been enjoying with GoogleDocs is using Gears.
With Gears installed, our team members can continue to work when the Internet
goes down, because all of their GoogleDocs are also saved locally. The next
morning, when the Internet is up again, Gears saves and automatically syncs
all the files they worked on, or the ones that others have updated. The
process works without any intervention on our members' part.

Bibledit also has a way to work collaboratively. I am a bit ashamed to admit
here that I have not been able to set that up and use it with our team.
