Patch for socket error/exception handling

Hi,

this patch (against CVS head) adds more informative socket error-handling 
functions to the Socket classes. It is now possible to retrieve the "real" 
system error message to display more informative error messages to the user. 
Support for win32 system error messages is currently missing - i need to 
figure out how one can retrieve them under win32 - i think FormatMessage or 
something should do the job.
