I have now integrated the patch in the CVS tree.  

Besides your patches, I have added several more for a number of
LessTif, Athena, and GCC issues.  Regading string literals, DDD should
now be 100% const correct; at least, GCC compiles the current version
without any warnings, even with `-Wwrite-strings'.

I am now preparing a new release (DDD 3.2.93 or so); it should be
ready for download later this day.
