Attached is small patch against CVS HEAD.
Documentation from python1.5.2 shows newdir being obsolete, causing its
use to fail here. For reference see python lib ref manual 19.5.
The other item, fixes invalid use of BUILTIN_COPYING. It's not used
anywhere else, but BUILTIN_NEWS sure looks to be correct here.
