Subject: DDD 3.2.1 (powerpc-suse-linux-gnu) gets `Segmentation fault' sign al

I am using a PC running hummingbirds exceed to access a pool of HP unix servers.
From there I telnet into a Mac G4 running suse linux.
Export the display back to my PC.
At this point i am able to type xterm and get a new window created correctly. So the Display must be correctly exported.

Then I simply try to run ddd with no parameters and it core dumps.
The log contents are below.

The strange thing is that if I do the same from someone elses PC, logged into the same exceed HP machine then telnet into the MAC G4, export DISPLAY and run DDD it works fine. As far as the MAC G4 is concerned I am the same user logging in, with the same profile etc. So I don't understand why I get a different result with different PC.

I'd appreciate any help.
