DEAR NURSE NANCY: NEED HELP OR ADVICE?

Have a question on a nursing issue or need some advice? Want to share or discuss a difficult patient situation or ethical problem? Our Director of Nursing, Nancy Mooney, MA, RN, ONC, is here to answer your questions:

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION: I am a 20 year old stressed out nursing student who is at the end of her rope. I graduate in one year and am debating if I should go on to get my BSN. Some people say it is vital, and dare I even ask such a question. Others say a lot of stuff is learned on the job and getting ahead has more to do with politics than education. I am tired of being in school, but I will go if necessary. At this point I am more interested in teaching nursing. What should I do?
