ddd-3.3.1 sparc sun4u installation problem

dear sir:

        under solaris 2.8 and g++ version 3.0.2, the
following compilation error occurs when building ddd-3.3.1:

   initialization

        just guessing, but maybe there's some signature mismatch 
with the stl string class?  also, i am relying on the motif 
libraries sun installs in /usr/openwin/lib.  anyway, the
relevant config.h for this installation is enclosed. 
        any ideas?
