DDD 3.3.1 (i386-pc-linux-gnu) gets 'Segmentation fault' signal |

Hi,
This happened to me after only using ddd a few times and never in the
following situation so maybe it's me.
I ssh'd from "diesel" to "civet". Once there I su'd to root, then attempted to
start ddd (hoping the display would appear on civet, of course). As
requested here's the log:

Both boxes are Debian, diesel is woody, civet is potato. If you need more
