DDD 3.3.1 (i386-redhat-linux-gnu) gets `Segmentation fault' signal

This seems totally reproducible on RedHat Linux 7.2 using the standard
distribution ddd (it must be standard I have only just discovered I have
ddd!)  Start ddd (doesn't matter about the options in fact).  The splash
screen comes and goes and the the main window appears.  The blob in the
bottom right hand corner of the window continues to flash and the cursor
is an hourglass, permanently.  Press the x (terminate) button on the
window (I am using Crux theme and Gnome2) the termination dialogue box
appears.  Instead of interacting with the dialogue box simply press x on
the main ddd window again and the result is a seg fault as indicated.

PS  Should ddd be trying to find /usr/local/gnu/include/g++ on a
standard RedHat distribution?
