i have question about ddd

hi,   

I have one question about ddd, remote debugging

my target board is mips, and harhat linux
host pc : i386, redhat 7.3

when I dose remote debugging about target board, connection and booting is 
successful

But, if I press 'Ctrl + C' on the ddd terminal, message appear here as follows:

ctrl+c
give up(y or n)?

I want to use gdb command...... but give up???
have you any suggestion...
