stop source code displaying

I found a strange behaviour in DDD, not properly a bug but I couldn't use
ddd.
When I tried to read a source file ddd stops displaing code at a random
point.
Depending on the file it may be the 30th or 50th line,...
This prevents from stepping through the program and thus makes ddd almost
unusable.
The strange thing is that I've used ddd for 3 years and never had this
problem.
I tried to download and install different version but had no results.
Two days ago I realized what the problem was: I started using a new PC with
an italian keyboard, and I used some special character like "à" or "è".
DDD doesn't recognize these character and simply stops displaying the source
code when it finds such characters.
Until a few months ago I had used an english keyboard which of course have
never given problems.

It really drove me crazy to find it out and I want everybody to know it in
order to save them time and efforts.

Thanks in advance,
  Ivan Luzzi
