Regarding the installation of DDD-3.3.11

Dear Sir/Madam,
 
       I am Uday.I am working on Linux system(Redht 9).
I am trying to install a dubugger(DDD-3.3.11).But i am not able to install it.
This is my status on installation process:
1. I have downloaded ddd-3.3.11 from GNU site.
2.Then according to INSTALL steps, go to ddd-3.3.11 folder and type the command ./configure.
 
 I mean, I am executing ./configure at /DDD/ddd-3.3.-11.
 then it is running fine.and it is giving like configuration is done.
3.Then I type make command,But it is giving some error messages like foll:
 
 cd. &&/bin/sh /DDD/ddd-3.3.11/missing --run autoconf
configure.ac:44:error:autoconf version 2.59 or higher is required.
configure.ac:44:error:the top level.
autom4te:/usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status:1
make:***[configure]error 1
 
I am not able to fix this error.Kindly guide me for installing ddd-3.3.11.
I am eager to see debuggers in linux.
