Hi and thanks for your interest in FreeDink :)
Here are answers to your questions:
- what's the difference between "Freedink", "Dink", and "dfrac"?
freedink is the game engine (few strings such as the default action
and magic texts)
dink is the original Dink Smallwood story (~2200 strings)
dfarc is the front-end / launcher to start FreeDink and D-Mods
- how would the game handle a right-to-left non-latin script
(Arabic-Hebrew..etc)?
As far as I understand, FreeDink currently does not support
right-to-left, because SDL_ttf doesn't support this.
Apparently there's a way to add this feature in the code
https://github.com/lxnt/ex-sdl-freetype-harfbuzz
Does the "Liberation Sans" font have Arabic characters?
If not, we also need a way to specify an alternate font.
Cheers!
Sylvain
