Hi,

Thank you for your explanation.

I had gathered my information from the sockets FAQ and endhostent was
never mentioned there. However after taking a look at a book like you
suggested I found exectly what you had done.

Sorry to have wasted your time on such a silly problem. I am new to linux
and it was something I had missed.

I only jumped on the agressive after Andreas mistakenly misread my first
mail.. and began arguing with me. Anyway, I have apologised to Andreas so
hopefuly we can all get along peacfuly again :)
