Hi there,
I got glibc 2.2.3 and glibc-linuxthreads-2.2.3.
I have gcc-2.95.3 and make-3.79.1 up and running, and configure doesn't
tell me about some problems with the required software.
I have the environment ``CFLAGS=-mcpu=i486'' exported.
glibs is configured with:
../glibc-2.2.3/configure --prefix=/usr --enable-add-ons
--host=i486-pc-gnu
from ${SRC}/glibc-build
``make'' runs a couple of time and then exits saying:
gcc spinlock.c -c -Wall ....
spinlock.c: In function `__pthread_lock':
spinlock.c:91: inconsistent operand constraints in an `asm'
make[2]: ***
[/home/p10209/Download/LFS/glibc-build/linuxthreads/spinlock.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/v_dsk/home/p10209/Download/LFS/glibc-2.2.3/linuxthreads'
make[1]: *** [linuxthreads/others] Error 2
I've tried this on a i686-pc-linux-gnu1 host, and on the
i486-pc-linux-gnu LFS system, with just the required software installed.
Has anybody a clue, how to avoid this?
Thanks in advance
Frank
