nice() return value |

Hello,
On Linux 2.2, glbc 2.1.3, nice() returns 0 on success, and -1 on failure.
I suppose this is expected behavious (as documented in the libc GNU doc).
However, SUSv3 requires nice() to return the process' new nice value (as
did SUSv2). Are there plans to change the glibc behavior to conform?
Cheers
Michael
Linux 2.2, glibc 2.1.1
and things look to be the same in glibc 2.2.3pre3
