Hi,
I would like to use softwares which use glibc 2.2(.4), in a floppy only
environment. But my concern is that the libc is 1.2 Mo large, and thus it is
hard to have it fit on a floppy with a kernel, some modules and some utilities.

I have had a look at the documentation about the configure options, but I can't
really figure out how to have a more small library. Maybe with the
--enable-add-on restricting the add-on used. Am I wrong ? Where do I find a
list of add-ons, what they do, and their impact on libc size (if existing).

If it is not possible to reduce the size of the gnu libc, do you have any
pointer on projects which address this issue, maybe with a libc with same
functions, but reduced functionalities (maybe no internationalization, or
things like that) ?

Thanks for your attention.
