Ed and Gert are also working on this - you should get together.
Please remember that you need to assign the code you develop to the
FSF if it should be added to glibc's CVS.  This includes a copyright
disclaimer from your employer (GCC has the same conditions and
documented them at http://gcc.gnu.org/contribute.html - but contact
the glibc developers instead of the GCC developers ;-)
