Intrested in porting for AMD chips

Hi,
     I was wondering if you could please tell me if the 3dnow! and extended
3dnow! instructions for early AMD Athons and Durons are being used in any of
the current versions of glibc. I noticed that there is work being done on
x86_64 by Andreas Jaeger <address@hidden> , but I am unsure wether the older AMD
processor fall under this category, as the first thought I had was that this
was for the new AMD 64bit CPU, to rival Intels Itanium CPU. If there is any
way, since glibc wont guild on my Duron without --host-i686 set, that I can
help with perhaps any optimisations that may not exist for my processor, I
would gladly assist in any way possible. If I am simply doing something
wrong though, please forgive me, I just thought that you guys would know
best. I would love any reply at all.
