glibc cygwin port?

Hi guys,

Anyone get the new glibc to work on the latest cygwin? I can't compile it
so I was thinking of porting it?  If so, instructions?  Also, do
you guys know if the latest glibc sprintf supports positional parameters?
that is via the syntax:  "%1$s"

It is quite important as the main app I want to port to CYGWIN via gcc is
reliant on this mechanism.
