Informatics - Electronic Commerce: The trendy bandwagon to be on

The World Wide Web is, as its name implies, worldwide. Businesses that sell
online can potentially reach billions of customers in every country of the
world. Even small companies with their own websites are attracting a client
base never before possible. Many are discovering how the Internet is
boundless in its scope and depth, processing orders not only from the next
town or state, but from the next continent, too. With this evolution of the
electronic medium, e-commerce has gain immense popularity in the
development of business and end-users relations due to its flexibility and
relative low cost of operation.

Informatics Diploma and Advanced Diploma in E-Commerce as validated and
certified by NCC Education was developed in recognition of the needs of the
market trends to qualify the field of e-commerce. E-Commerce is broadly
defined as marketing and planning strategies, consumer behaviour and legal
and regulatory policy issues related to the commercial development of the
Internet. This course aims to provide students with an analytical and
technical understanding in three domains of:

(1) Technological: cryptography, internet infrastructure, server
management
(2) Economic: digital banking systems, marketing and advertising, business
and transaction models
(3) Social: privacy, intellectual property protection, legal and
regulatory initiatives

"The current trends in the Information Technology industry are inclining
towards the development of commercialising business via the electronics
means. To keep abreast of trend progression in this industry, I had decided
to take up this e-commerce course with Informatics. I believe that it will
definitely be useful when the time comes for me to lead my own business
operations," said Mr Jerry Yu, current student in Advanced Diploma in
Electronic Commerce. "I am confident that, with the choice of universities
that I can gain exempted entry to, it would not be difficult for me to
advance my higher education if I choose to at a later point of time," added
Jerry.
