Hanging of Red Hat Linux 9

 My PC runs on Red Hat Linux 9 (Shrike).
 It hangs some times. Very often there is automatic logout.

This hanging took place on  Tue Nov 25 02:50:38 2003,
approximately, IST.

The data noted below appeared on the console, and
 had to be taken down on paper by hand. The two
 lights on the keyboard- CAPS LOCK and SCROLL LOCK
 were blinking, and all response from the computer to
 our keyboard or mouse activity was stopped:-
