Request for glibc on cygwin platform

Hi,
  I've been using linux for the past 4 years and support open source 
concept. Recently i came accross an open-source software GNUcash. I tried 
porting it on windows using cygwin but it requires glibc which is not 
available on cygwin. I am writing this mail because i'd like to work on 
porting glibc to cygwin. Please help me towards this project. Hope to hear 
from you.
