Unfortunately I found that some of the Files in glibc (even in 2.3.6) is using GPL, not LGPL as the library should be.
I guess that this is happened by mistake - can you confirm that?
 
I would appreciate very much if the FSF could do 2 things:
1) give explicit allowance to use that file under LGPL
2) change the license clause, so that future versions will be LGPL.
 
Can you get a general permission from the copyright holders that allows using all files in glibc as if they were licensed LGPL?
 
Files affected are:
glibc-2.3.6/iconv/strtab.c
glibc-2.3.6/intl/plural.c
