Yes, that's mentioned under "Headers and Libraries" in the manual.
On a GNU/Linux a shared libgmpxx has "needed" record grabbing libgmp
(as shown by "ldd libgmpxx.so" for instance) but with a static
libgmpxx (and static-only is the default for cygwin) you need to
specify both.
