        Sigh, you're right. There was indeed an older version with
        precedence over the new one. It would have been easier to
        spot though if the library had a link name like
        libgmp.so.4.1.0 instead of libgmp.so.3.3.0 (my previous one
        was libgmp.so.3.1.0 so I didn't notice it, but I should have 
        looked better...).
