ArXiv-et <http://arxiv.org> uses for antispam that the "Subject:" field has to contain certain keywords (GMP might use "GMP"). If not, the sender receives an automated reply with instructions. This seems to be a simple and reliable system, which does not require a moderator to stand by. Hans Aberg
