Woah, no, I was just rambling about my own learning style (if it can be 
called that).

I am just saying that I can do a little damage... and read-write files, use 
GCI, and prepare a SQL statement for a DB connection.

Since I develop everything in ASP... (just like GWBASIC+ActiveX, if you 
think about it) I thought that it was a start.

I remember my first asp script... returned the IP address of the 
requestor... hehe... those were the days of innocence...

As to perl, I don't figure I'll have it mastered in a year even if I apply 
myself.

As far as the delete thing:

No deleting, just adding new articles, retrieving read-only, and possibly 
checking status of to-be-moderated submissions.
