Hi Max (and all),
Thanks for writing ...
1. If you (or anyone) can work on compiling iceweasel for Windows,
please do. Neither Giuseppe nor I are in a position to work on this.
2. If you (or anyone) can test gnash/iceweasel integration, please do.
Again, neither Giuseppe nor I are able to try that.
3. Independent of the above, please try Giuseppe's newly-released test
binaries. http://www.gnu.org/software/gnuzilla. has download links
and a description of the "privacy protection" features which rms had
Giuseppe add. See also the "free plugin finder configuration" stuff.
The more people who try it now, the more likely the official release
will actually be usable.
Take a look at the sources too if you like. If you see any nonfree
files in the source tree, we should remove them. We've already
removed a bunch (see the remove.nonfree script in gnuzilla cvs).
(These are auxiliary things in mozilla's CVS that have little to do
with the build or operation, but are still binaries of various kinds
without sources, so we toss them.)
Thanks,
Karl
