"defaults/pref/firefox.js" would seem a little vague ...

Out of the 3 versions of "firefox.js" that had existed below the build root,
for reasons of similarity I decided to replace
        ./browser/app/profile/firefox.js
with the new version downloaded from savannah, and re-"make install",
which in the end would leave me again with new (pairwise identical) versions
of both
        ./dist/bin/defaults/pref/firefox.js
and     ./dist/icecat/defaults/pref/firefox.js

Browser restart now works as expected, both following the upgrade, and on a few 
tests after.
