Going by the documentation, synchronizing looks like an optional
feature. It also looks like the server provides mostly storage and is
not really an application. The server API documentation [1] suggests
that you can run your own server, though I'm not sure the server setting
can be changed in the add-on's preferences. If not, then it would be
good to ask them about it or provide them with a patch that would
implement it.
