Hi! :]
1) Well, IMHO that's not IceCat's fault, it's rather a XML-error of
the page itself, isn't it?
I'm not sure about it, but at least 3 browsers: Firefox 5.0 (a),
Google Chrome (b) and Konqueror (c) load www.terra.es without errors.
I don't know why, but www.terra.es works for me now! O_O
2) When I pin a tab, and restart Firefox5 (not IceCat), the previously
pinned tab appears unpinned for me. It's the same with IceCat5 for me.
As I said in
http://www.mail-archive.com/address@hidden/msg01371.html, in my
version of FF5 (a), it recovers all previous tabs, pinned or not,
according to its prior state before closing the browser. IceCat 5.0
doesn't recover previous tabs and doesn't conserve pinned ones.
Hmm... You should probably check again whether your browser-preferences
are the same with IceCat and Firefox.
3) Does work for me.
Could you post the compile options you use, .mozconfig, etc?
Well, I use Gentoo GNU/Linux, so on http://codepad.org/aJQONlaR you can
find my compile-options (and USE-flags etc.).
I couldn't find a file called ".mozconfig" anywhere… sorry.
4) [not tested]
It would be important if someone can confirm/refute this problem.
Well, I think I have to register on that site first to follow your
instructions, right?
Sorry, I won't do that.
5) Hmm.. At least the german lang-pack seems to work for me.

Install the language pack and try this:
- enter about:config into the address bar
- choose the general.useragent.locale string variable
- set it to the country code of the language (en for Spanish, for
example)
- restart GNU IceCat
Thanks for the fix: it works!
Great! :]

So, to sum up, I don't have that as much issues with IceCat as you,
and unfortunately can't spot the reason for this phenomenon yet... --
Maybe it's because of your lang-pack??
Apart from issues 1)-5), among which 1) and 4) are serious, I also
observe:
6) The resume option when a download is paused, starts over from the
beginning of the file. I think this problem is also present in FF5
(a), but I'm not completely sure.
(a)
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/5.0/linux-x86_64/es-ES/firefox-5.0.tar.bz2
(b) chromium-browser-stable-12.0.742.112-1mdv2010.2
(c) konqueror-4.4.5-0.2mdv2010.2

If you really don't see any way to solve these issues, maybe it could
help to reinstall IceCat? I don't know… I really don't have more
suggestions. :/
And again, be sure that your preferences are the same with both IceCat
and Firefox.
