Follow-up Comment #2, bug #55081 (project groff):

  Looking at an example in CSTR #54, page 32 "Muliple Column Output", a
fix in macro ".bc" (begin a column) is (could be) to use ".sp |\\n(_k"
instead of ".sp 24i".

  Register "_k"  is set with ".mk" (mark vertical place) in the header
macro (@h), the next column macro (@c), and conditionally in "@n" (new
column or page).

  A least the total number of lines produced is correct.
