Good questions. I do not know. I did not go through the papers yet:

  * RFC 2425, MIME Content-Type for Directory Information
  * RFC 2426, vCard MIME Directory Profile

  * RFC 2445, Internet Calendaring and Scheduling Core Object Specification
        (iCalendar)
  *     RFC 2446, iCalendar Transport-Independent Interoperability Protocol
(iTIP): Scheduling Events, BusyTime, To-dos and Journal Entries
  * RFC 2447, iCalendar Message-based Interoperability Protocol (iMIP)

But since now they are std RFCs, they probably corrected some of the
downfalls. rfc2446 title looks promising.

Unfortunately, I did not see anything in the IMAP4V1 and POP3 rfcs that
address the issue. Maybe the new drafts or we can put them as
"extensions". However I see more and more mail clients using it
which is a good thing.

On a good note, I think we'll have a working imap4 server by the end
of the week (minus that I do not broke any fingers or other body parts
again biking 8)

Of course it is pre-pre-alpha stuff, with the feedback from
Sergey and others the pop3d server seems to be coming alive nicely.
Still that $*#&(^) locking annoyance 8-).

Later,
