I updated it again, and it seems to still work for GNU SASL 0.0.4.
Was any problems with the patch encountered?  I admit the patch may
need some improvements, ideally the MU_AUTH framework should support
non-password based authentication, but I don't know much about the
MU_AUTH framework to work on it.  Also, the modifications to support
integrity/privacy of data are a bit crude.
