Hi,
I've begun work on a perl module to provide mailbox access via the GNU
MailUtils library API.
I usually don't announce anything until I have at least something to show,
but creating a perl extension based on XS is a new area for me. If anyone
is interested in helping or contributing (or even running the project, if
that makes more sence in the long run), please let me know.
A project page will be available in the next 24-48 hrs at:
https://developer.berlios.de/projects/gnumailutilspm/
I'm currently trying to get it to work using XS code, but I've also been
looking at swig. I currently don't have a preferance, so if anyone likes
one more than the other, please let me know. Swig does have the advantage
of being able to generate bindings for perl, python, tcl/tk, guile,
mxscheme, ruby, java, php, chicken, and ocaml, all from the same interface
specification file. XS is widely deployed and tested, but is limited to
perl only (might work w/ python as well, I'm not sure).
Thanks,

Josh I.
