Give me an exact example of the commend line commands and agruments you tried.

Do you have write priviledges for the mail box, i.e. directory, you are dealing 
with?

It is not a Mailutils bug, from my viewpoint.  But, I don't have that problem.
Please check you permissions, etc. and send it.  Along., with of course, just 
what command you are running and how you are running them.

It sounds like you are using the MH~E suite of mailutils, but you didn't 
mention what commans you were using and how you were using them.  For example 
the MH programs via emacs, etc.

Sorry, that I can't answer you right away.  But more information is needed.  
Perhaps others can help more.  But, please inform as to which program in the 
mailutils suite you are using.
