I put it aside but I was working with GPM last year. Basically, a guy
forked it, he was going to create GPM version 2 and never completed it.
He split every function into it's own file and made the codebase
"interesting".
I have many versions of GPM on my computer. The one before the breakage
will not build cleanly but I have patches that will allow it to. I have
thought about trying to study the codebase and to resurrect it. GPM is
currently abandoned. Look at the mailing list archives, the "maintainer"
has said as much and also just laughs at people who post with legitimate
questions.
