Thomas has twice rejected without comment my drop of the (apparently
mnemonic) phrase from this subsection heading, so parenthesize it to
make it more clear that it isn't some kind of bizarre synopsis (which is
what I mistook it for at first, given ncurses's other heavy usage of
subsection headings for symbol names, an idiosyncratic use of man(7)
that Thomas's html2text(1) can leverage into HTML anchors with little
effort from the man page author). (I have ideas for attacking this
problem in groff's man(7) package, and will advise if/when they reach
fruition.)
