Details:


There is a bug that appears during linking of sourceinstall and
sourceinstall-gtk on some systems (reportedly at least Solaris 8),
because the included gnulib 'error' module has a hidden dependency on the
'program_name' symbol, which is provided in some systems and not in others.

These two patches work around the issue in both front ends.

Apply sourceinstall.c.program_name.patch from the sourceinstall source
directory using:

$ patch < sourceinstall.c.program_name.patch

Apply sourceinstall-gtk.c.program_name.patch from the sourceinstall-gtk
source directory using:

$ patch < sourceinstall-gtk.c.program_name.patch
